Martina is a journalist and editor with experience covering climate change, extreme weather, climate policy and litigation. She is the Editor-in-Chief at Earth.Org, where she is responsible for breaking news coverage, feature writing and editing, and newsletter production. She singlehandedly manages over 100 global contributing writers and oversees the publication's editorial calendar. Since joining the newsroom in 2022, she's successfully grown the monthly audience from 600,000 to more than one million.
Before moving to Asia, she worked in Vienna at the United Nations Global Communication Department and in Italy as a reporter at a local newspaper. She holds two BA degrees - in Translation Studies and Journalism - and an MA in International Development from the University of Vienna.
Afshan Khan is an Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Coordinator of the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement. Ms. Khan was appointed by United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. she served in UNICEF as the Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia and Special Coordinator for the Refugee and Migrant Response in Europe. She has also led UNICEF’s humanitarian work as Director of Emergency Operations and its external relations with governments as Director of Public-Sector Alliances and Resource Mobilization.
Aiyanna holds a Bachelor's of Arts in Environmental Studies and a minor in Spanish from Point Loma Nazarene University. She is currently pursuing environmental law and working at a law firm, as well as volunteering with local organizations like the Sierra Club and the Center for Marine Debris Research to accomplish these agendas. As a resident of Hawai'i, Aiyanna sees firsthand the negative effects humanity can have on our planet if we are not careful to protect it.
Amir H. Khodadadi holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and a master's degree in economics of development and planning from Science and Research University in Iran. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in Agricultural and Food Economics at the University of Bonn. Having worked as a lecturer in industrial economics and as an urban economics analyst, Amir developed a passion for political economy and studies on underdevelopment. His current research focusses on industrial economics, agricultural economics, the green economy, green finance, and the global financial crisis.
Amish Chhagan is a Zambia-raised, award-winning wildlife and conservation photographer based out of Barcelona, Spain. Growing up in Zambia, he was fortunate to be in close proximity to the African flora and fauna. His role as a wildlife photographer exists because there are beautiful and spectacular moments to capture in the wild, but an important duty exists to preserve and conserve the wilderness and its natural habitat. This gives him a bigger sense of responsibility as a human and photographer to use his work to showcase the beauty of the once-abundant wildlife we had on the planet. Ms. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana is Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). Prior to joining ESCAP in 2018, Ms. Alisjahbana was Professor of Economics at Universitas Padjadjaran in Bandung, Indonesia. From 2009 to 2014, she was Minister of National Development Planning and the Head of the National Development Planning Agency (BAPPENAS), Indonesia.

Austin Jenish is a Legal Researcher and writer, and a recent graduate from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He completed a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Science double degree, majoring in genetics. Austin currently works at a boutique law firm and also volunteers as a scientific researcher with the Genetic Support Network of Victoria. He previously served for nearly two years as a conservation status assessor with the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and has contributed both environmental law and public policy research for various NGOs. Through Monash Law Clinics, he prepared an environmental litigation memorandum for a barrister and researched to assist the Cook Islands in their submissions to the UN Plastic Pollution Treaty negotiations.
Brieuc Pont is France's Special Envoy on Nutrition and Secretary General of the "Nutrition for Growth" Summit. Prior to his current position, Mr Pont was Ambassador of France to Nicaragua (2020- 2023) and Consul General in São Paulo (2016- 2020), covering the five southern States of Brazil. He previously served as Deputy Diplomatic Advisor to Prime Minister Manuel Valls (2014-2016) and Diplomatic Advisor to Mr. Pierre Moscovici in his capacity of Minister of Economy and Finance (2013-2014). Genevieve Hilton has worked in corporate affairs and sustainability in the Asia Pacific region since 1994. She previously led ESG and communications in Asia Pacific for Lenovo, as well as Corporate Citizenship and External Communications Asia Pacific for BASF. Since taking a step back from the corporate world in 2022, she has become a full-time sustainability activist and writer. Under the pen name Jan Lee, she is an award-winning science fiction writer. She is the co-author, with Steve Willis, of "Fairhaven – A Novel of Climate Optimism" (Habitat Press UK), a winner in the Green Stories contest. Her work has also been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and recognized several times in the “Writers of the Future” contest. She also is Editor-in-Chief of The Apostrophe, the quarterly magazine of the Hong Kong Writers Circle. She currently acts as a senior advisor for a number of environmental and social activist organizations.
Jean-Baptiste Vaujour is an energy economist. He is a Professor of Practice at Emlyon Business School and the founder of a consulting firm. He is a registered expert at the European Commission on Energy and Infrastructure Financing, a member of the Future Energy Leaders of the World Energy Council, and a recipient of the Marcel Boiteux Prize for Energy Economics.
Julianna Barcela is a graduate of Journalism and Politics from the University of Hong Kong. She joined Earth.Org in March 2025 with a passion for exploring environmental issues through a socio-economic, consumerist, and feminist lens, focusing particularly on the Global South.
Kareff Rafisura is with Space Applications Section of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). Kareff has extensive experience in climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and environmental sustainability at the community, national and regional contexts. She has worked for the United Nations over the past 15 years and has a graduate degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences with a focus on climate and society from Columbia University in New York.

She has been an advisor to several WTO developing country members since 2004. Manleen has a Master’s degree in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School, a MSc in Development Economics from University of Manchester and a Masters in Trade Law and Economics from the World Trade Institute in Bern. Michael is a MSc student in a joint program between University College Dublin and Justus Liebig University, studying global change: ecosystem science and policy.
